Trips to Egypt should be resumed in mid-October, the ministry said.

According to the press release, people are advised against unnecessary travels to Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia, Port Said and other largest cities in Egypt and in the Nile delta.

"The probability of demonstrations and clashes between protesters and security forces remains high in these locations. Activities of criminal and terrorist groups make the security situation particularly bad in the province of North Sinai, including the Taba-Suez Path, therefore, travels to the province of North Sinai are not recommended," the ministry said in consular information on Egypt on Tuesday.
