In an interview to Lietuvos Žinios daily on Monday, the ambassador said his country "still has a lot to do to achieve the ultimate goal of EU membership."

"The more we achieve in the Euro-integration process, the clearer the differences are between our main goal, EU, and the other Eurasian Union and the organization's impact on the neighbors it wants to include in its structures. Moldova is under very serious pressure," the Moldovan ambassador told the daily.

Initialing of the EU's Association Agreement with Moldova is expected during the Vilnius summit in the end of November.
