A 50,000-meter-long floating walkway on a river has opened to tourists in Luodian County of southwest China's Guizhou Province since the New Year's Day. Covering an area of 54,000 square meters, the floating path is located in the Hongshui River tourist resort in the county. Tens of thousands of colorful lamps along the footpath created an amazing light show for the tourists in the evening. "We have been taking photos since we got here. We also put videos we filmed here in our WeChat friend circles, and many friends said that they also want to come here after seeing the videos," said Wang Panpan, a tourist from Beijing. Amusement equipment and performances were also provided along the floating path. Luodian County has been promoting winter tourism as it has higher average temperatures in winter than those of other areas in the province. The county has seen more than 60,000 tourists since Jan.1.
