This year, the shadow share of the strong beverage market accounts for 36 percent in terms of volume, 29 percent in the cigarette market and 18 percent in the fuel market.
With the country's economic situation improving, the share of the shadow economy in the cigarette market is on the decline, compared with its peak level of 43 percent in 2010, the LFMI notes.
The study was conducted in the spring and summer of this year based on surveys of 389 local government administration officials, 3,500 people, and market specialists, and as well as data provided by market players.
