As reported a year ago, Lithuania ranked 27th in the Doing Business 2012 listing yet later its ranking was raised by one notch, to number 26, due to changes in methodology and data updates.

Last year, Lithuania implemented reforms making it easier to start a business and resolve insolvency, the Bank said in its Doing Business 2013 report.

Latvia dropped to number 25 in this year’s ranking, from 21st place last year, with no new reforms.  Estonia dropped to 21st place, from 19th, with no new reforms as well.
