"We are going through the formalities to obtain the documents for several more land parcels. Our further expansion will depend on how fast we are able to obtain the permits," Dainius Dundulis, the chairman of Norfos Mažmena, said while commenting on the company's plans in the neighboring country.

He said that Norfos Mazmena is planning to open up to five stores of 2,000 or 4,000 square meters in the near future. The company has teamed up with a Belarusian food product wholesaler for the expansion project. The Lithuanians did not dare to venture into the Belarusian market without a local partner, according to the paper.
