Lithuanian tourism makes its debut in India

The Lithuanian State Tourism Department and the Lithuanian Embassy in India will be holding the first Lithuanian tourism presentation at the residence of the country's ambassador on Wednesday, ANI news agency reports.

Lithuania is known as the country of thousands of natural lakes and rivers, exquisite barrocco architecture and ancient pre-Christian traditions reminding one of Vedic India's past.

The largest of Baltic states in Eastern Europe, Lithuania can become a gateway to the region for Indian tourists looking for new destinations of unspoiled natural landscapes going hand in hand with and modern European facilities.

Indian tour operators will be presented with a birds eye view of Lithuanian tourism, including tourism infrastructure, UNESCO World Heritage sites, objects of culture and history.

Along with the presentation on tourism opportunities, traditional Lithuanian cuisine will be offered.

The event is also dedicated to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and India.
