The board of Norway’s electronics company Kitron should decide early in summer on the expansion of manufacturing at its Kaunas-based subsidiary. Moreover, a component supply center, which will reportedly eat up 5 million litas (EUR 1.45m) in investments, should start operations in Lithuania’s second-biggest city at the end of this fall, Verslo Žinios business daily reports.

The new center will be used by Kitron’s suppliers for the storage of raw materials ordered by the Norwegian group. The center is expected to shorten the time of delivery of the components required for manufacturing.

Moreover, the group plans to invest 16 million litas in building manufacturing facility of some 2,500 square meters near the existing plant in Kaunas.
