The turnaround would continue until 3 June, Audrius Stasiulaitis, the head of communication at Polish-owned Orlen Lietuva, told BNS. He could not specify the turnaround costs for the meantime.
The refinery would be shut down completely during the turnaround.
As reported earlier, the refinery would need extra 4,000 workers for the turnaround and Orlen Lietuva had already concluded 97 contracts with contractors, including 73 companies from Lithuania, 17 companies from Poland and several companies from other countries.
