It is planned that a Ukrainian company will take over a stalled bioethanol production facility project in Telšiai, with 27 million litas (EUR 7.8m) or more likely to be invested in the project. Ukrainian pharmacists are also planning to invest in the northwestern Lithuanian town.
Lithuania's ambassador in Kiev, Petras Vaitiekūnas, has mentioned that Ukrainians are eyeing Kaunas as well. It seems that they are thinking of establishing an IT data center in the country's second-biggest city.
The project in Kaunas is being developed by IT Fort. Renovation of a building on the site of the former Endokrininiai Preparatai pharmaceutical factory in Aleksotas, a district of Kaunas, has already been launched, according to the paper.
