Vilnius and Saint Petersburg to have direct air link

Russia's AK Bars Aero is set to launch direct flights between St. Petersburg and Vilnius on 26 March.

The Russian airline will operate the route on Mondays and Thursday using a 50-seat CRJ200 plane, Vilnius Airport has announced.

AK Bars Aero is one of Russia's fastest-growing airlines, it said in a press release.

There has been no direct service between St. Petersburg and Vilnius until now. Lithuania has a direct air link with Moscow.
