To Berlin: G. Nausėda travels to meet with the German leadership

Germany’s economy is the largest in the European Union. Its diplomatic corps is also one of the most influential in the Old Continent. The country’s troops have been stationed in Lithuania. Germany is one of the most important trade partners our country has. In other words, it comes as no surprise that Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, having visited Poland and Latvia, met with Chancellor Angela Merkel for his third visit.

Furthermore, a particularly important autumn awaits Europe – it would appear that the new British government with Boris Johnson at its head is seriously inclined to simply depart the Union without a deal, thus EU heads of state must decide on the bloc’s joint position and further steps.
