For a few decades now, Lithuania has one of the strictest (in Europe) positions in terms of political relations with Belarus. Why? In short: 1) because Lukashenko is a dictator, breaches human rights and rejects democracy; 2) because Lukashenko’s Belarus is Russia’s closest ally (and this is inherently a threat); 3) because Astravyets.
