Ramūnas Vilpišauskas. Key risks to Lithuania’s post-pandemic recovery

With the Lithuanian economy recovering after the 2008-2009 crisis, discussions arose over how to avoid the middle-income trap when, with wage growth outpacing productivity, the risk arises for the economy to lose its competitive edge. Lithuania’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis shows that more pertinent might be the risk to get stuck in the middle public sector capacity trap.
