Alvydas Medalinskas, former member of the Sąjūdis (Revival Movement) initiative group, is the second on the coalition list, followed by Antanas Buračas, another former member of the group, Gintaras Songaila, leader of the Nationalist Party, and Alvydas Akstinavičius, chairman of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Union.

"We managed to create a strong alternative to systematic budgetary parties," Songaila said at a press conference on Monday.

Valionytė added that this coalition "is bringing a fresh wind of the Sąjūdis we have been all longing for."

"We live on the Sąjūdis ideas that led Lithuania to independence," she said.

The Seimas elections are scheduled for 14 October.
