At last week’s European People's Party Group leadership meeting, its President Manfred Weber announced that MEP Rasa Juknevičienė will be responsible for coordinating foreign affairs and security policy at the EP's largest political group. Visiting Lithuania at the head of a delegation of tens of Taiwanese companies, the country’s Minister of National Development Ming-hsin Kung said in an interview with 15min that he sees various opportunities for strengthening the two countries’ cooperation, but he didn’t indicate yet whether Lithuania will catch the eyes of Taiwan’s semiconductor sector, which is planning to invest billions of euro into expansion in the coming years.
