The bloody January 13th of 1991 is still deeply etched in the memory of many Lithuanian citizens. It left families with painful scars and for some defined the rest of their lives. It was a night when Lithuanian people defended their country's Independence with songs and with their own blood. Documentary footage and witness experiences speak for themselves: from the prayers of children left at home to the fearless men who stood together defending the independent television studio – with no weapons at all. In this video journalists of 15min share their personal memories and experiences.
