The new Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e smartwatches just launched at CES 2021, offering 'Essential' features from the original watches at a budget price. Here's an unboxing and full side-by-side comparison of the Amazfit GTS 2e vs Amazfit GTR 2e wearables, plus the original pair - so you know which smart timepiece is best for you.
My full review of these fresh wrist rockets will be coming soon, while I'm also planning on testing the Mini version. I've also rounded up the greatest (well, my favourite) smartwatches in 2021, for more ideas.

The new Essential versions sport a very similar design to the originals, complete with OLED screens and that Always On Display. You've got the same sensor tech for tracking your heart rate, SPO2 levels and other fitness stats. Plus of course full notifications support.
In fact, the Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e also boast a new temperature sensor, and improved battery life. They're among the best smartwatches in 2021 for longevity, offering 2-3 weeks of life per charge.
You only lose a few features vs the older watches, including on-board music support and speakers.
