A Diving Horse was a very popular event in the 1800s, but is now seen as an incredibly cruel and dangerous stunt. The “attraction” was set up by William ‘Doc’ Carver and horses sometimes dove up to four times a day, seven days a week. The event lost its popularity after World War II.
