Thank you to PokerStars and Full Tilt

A massive earthquake measuring 7.8 struck Nepal on 25 April 2015 followed by a second powerful earthquake on 12 May brought devastation to Nepal's two main cities Kathmandu and Pokhara and surrounding area. More than 8,600 people have died and 16,000 injured. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost everything. Food, clothing, bedding and household items lay buried under ruins of people’s houses. With the monsoon season approaching survivors are in urgent need of clean water, shelter, medical support and food. CARE has been working in Nepal since 1978. We have over 150 staff already working in the majority of the most affected districts. Our immediate priorities are shelter, water and food, and our initial response aims to reach 100,000 people with lifesaving aid such as emergency shelter, ready-to-eat meals, clean water and toilet construction to prevent the outbreak of disease. We can’t do this without the generous support of people like you. Thank you so much to all the players and staff at PokerStars and Full Tilt for so generously supporting our Nepal Earthquake Appeal. Your donation really is making a difference. To find out more please visit http://www.careinternational.org.uk/emergencies
