Ebbsfleet United, the club previously best known for being owned and run by their community of fans, had a disastrous performance last Saturday as the Conference South side absorbed a 3-nil home hammering at the hands of Farnborough.
It took just 10 seconds for Ebbsfleet's afternoon to go down the toilet.
Fleet pressed the self-destruct button straight from kick-off, as Ryan Blake's under-hit back-pass was easily intercepted by Farnborough forward Kezie Ibe. That forced home keeper Edwards to rush off his line in order to snuff out the one-on-one with Ibe, but the nifty striker was able to round the goalie only to be hauled down for a penalty.
Referee Neil Hair, faced with little option, brandished the red card to Edwards with only 10 seconds on the clock. In turn the keeper threw a major hissy-fit on the pitch, mainly directed at left-back Blake for his woeful back-pass.
Without a replacement goalkeeper on the bench, Ebbsfleet coach Liam Daish handed the green jersey to 18-year-old midfielder Tom Phipp, but he was unable to keep out Bradley Bubb's low spot-kick.
