'Neptune' anti-ship missile hit the target

The Neptun (Neptune) is a Ukrainian anti-ship cruise missile. It is being developed by Luch design bureau. This missile was first announced in 2013. First examples were reportedly completed and tested in 2016. The prospective missiles will be located in transport and launch containers (TLC) with dimensions of 5,300 × 600 × 600 mm. The length of the rocket itself with an accelerator of 5,050 mm. TLC with a rocket with a cross-shaped hard wing can be placed on terrestrial, marine or air carriers. It is intended for defeat of combat surface ships and transport vessels from the structure of shock groups (convoy) or moving individually with a displacement of up to 5,000 tons. According to the Defence Blog media outlet, the recently tested missile is identified as the Neptune, a Ukrainian advanced subsonic cruise missile. According to the UkrOboronProm defense industry concern, the Neptunes are capable of sinking warships with displacements of up to 5,000 tons – which would include all of the Russian landing ships and frigates currently in service.
