The Golden State Valkyries are leaving San Francisco with a two-game win streak as they head out on a two-game road trip. Golden State beat the Toronto Tempo 92 - 82 at Chase Center, overcoming a 13-point first-half deficit thanks to a 15 - 0 run that spanned both sides of the halftime break.
The Valkyries got off to a strong start, building a seven-point lead midway through the first quarter, but Toronto clawed back and built its own double-digit lead in the second. Golden State regrouped, cutting the deficit to one at the half before retaking the lead early in the third quarter and never trailing again.
Janelle Salaün led Golden State with 21 points, her second straight 20-point game, while Kayla Thornton added. The win completes a two-game sweep of the Tempo, with Golden State having also won Sunday's matchup 96- 79, and sets the Valkyries up heading into their upcoming road trip to Los Angeles.
