Erdvėlaivio „Orion“ per misiją „Artemis 1“ 2022-aisiais užfiksuoti vaizdai

The Orion spacecraft's onboard optical navigation camera captured these high-resolution black and white photographs on day 6 of the mission, the same day that the spacecraft performed a critical engine burn. NASA's Flickr account shows that Orion has been busy snapping pictures of Earth and the moon at various distances and phases to test the performance of its optical navigation camera in a variety of illumination situations to help with spacecraft orientation on future crewed trips. As a first step toward future Artemis missions, NASA's Orion spacecraft and the massive Space Launch System (SLS) rocket will be put through their paces during Artemis 1. If everything goes well during Artemis 2, the two might transport passengers to lunar orbit as soon as 2024, marking the return of human spaceflight for the first time since 1972. In a year or so, the Artemis 3 mission will bring humans to the lunar south pole.
