Charlotte Uhlenbroek grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal, and knows the plight of the street dogs intimately. There are 35,000 dogs living in the streets of the Kathmandu Valley. The Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre (KAT Centre) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the humane management of street dogs in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Centre's mission is to create within the Kathmandu Valley a dog friendly, rabies-free, non-breeding street dog population through an Animal Birth Control (ABC) programme.
The KAT Centre uses humane and effective methods to control the stray dog population of Kathmandu Valley. KAT relies on your support to treat the dogs of Kathmandu. It is a "no frills" organisation and your donation will go directly to running the ABC/Anti-rabies Vaccination, Rescue and Treatment, and Public Education programmes.
