Martynas Čerkauskas, an aide to Transport Minister Eligijus Masiulis, confirmed to BNS that the minister signed a respective order on Thursday.
Mušeckienė was appointed as the port’s infrastructure and development director in June 2011.
A competition for a new CEO of the authority will be launched after the new government takes office.
Eugenijus Gentvilas, a member of the Liberal Movement, resigned as Klaipėda Port’s CEO on Thursday to take up a seat in the Seimas (parliament). He headed the port from June 2009.
