Klaipėdos Jūrų Krovinių Kompanija (Klaipėda Stevedoring Company, or Klasco) on Sunday started the loading of the British-flagged 63,000-ton bulk carrier Ostende Max. The Hong Kong-flagged East Bravery, a bulk carrier of the same capacity, is now in the roadstead waiting to enter the port.
"It will take four to five days to load the Ostende Max. The loading of the East Bravery will begin immediately next week," Klasco spokeswoman Vida Bortelienė told BNS on Monday.
The company has contracted to handle 200,000 tons of grain in a month.
The 63,000-ton Liberty Dream on Saturday left Klaipėda after being loaded at Klasco.
