Direct flights Vilnius-Reykjavik to start in summer

Vilnius Airport , Lithuania’s largest international airport, has confirmed that direct flights between Vilnius and Reykjavik will start operating in summer. This will be the only direct link connecting Iceland and the Baltic region.

Sandra Šiaulienė, communication manager at Vilnius Airport, said that Iceland’s airline Iceland Express will operate the flight on Wednesdays, from June 26 until August 29.

The company will operate a 180-seat Airbus A320 on this route. The air carrier is already selling tickets to the flights.

In summer, Iceland Express will serve 17 destinations in Europe.
