Lithuanian construction companies may bag more orders in Norway

Norway’s construction companies are increasing the purchase of services and products abroad, which may be a chance for Lithuanian companies to enter the market, the Verslo Žinios business daily reports.

Experts say that the formation of a Lithuanian construction cluster, which would be capable of providing complex services to Norway’s largest construction companies, would expand export possibilities.

“Economic situation in Norway remains strong, and construction volumes remain high. The chances for Lithuanian companies in this market are good and some of them work there successfully. Moreover, the Lithuanians are establishing companies in Norway actively,” says Aleksandras Laurinavičius, a commercial representative of Enterprise Lithuania, the government’s export promotion agency.

Local construction companies were cutting their costs now and so they increased the purchase of services and products abroad, he says.

According to Enterprise Lithuania, Norway’s construction market is attractive for Lithuanian companies due to its stability and continuous growth in recent years.
