Bo Henriksson, ABB Baltic president, estimates that the center would employ 30 engineering experts each year.
“We spoke about our business in Lithuania, the outlook for investments. We are already active on Lithuania’s energy market, we supply substations, electric equipment, participate in industrial projects and now have to strengthen our engineering competences,” he said after a meeting with Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius on Wednesday.
Mykolas Majauskas, an aide to prime minister, said that ABB was now looking for a site for its engineering center.
ABB generated 55 million litas (EUR 15.94 m) in turnover in Lithuania last year.
