BGS, which is part of Lithuania's aviation group Avia Solutions Group, has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Group for into-plane fuelling services in Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice. The ground services provider expects that the deal will help increase its scope of operations by 40 percent.

Lufthansa Group's carriers include Deutsche Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS International Air Lines and Germanwings.

BGS holds a license to provide ground services in Lithuania and in Poland's six largest airports. The company, which entered the Polish market in 2010, said last year that it aimed to gain a market share of up to 15 percent in the next two years.

BGS last year held a 42 percent share of the ground services market at Vilnius Airport and around 74 percent of the fueling market.

The company's major customers include Small Planet Airlines, Finnair, LOT, Aer Lingus, Brussels Airlines and AeroSvit Airlines, as well as the world's leading logistics company DHL.
