Reportedly, Lithuania’s market has already been included in the company’s plans for 2013 and the retailer is now looking for commercial space for its new stores. H&M is expected to open its first brand store in one of Lithuania’s malls.
Late in January, H&M announced that it had included Latvia in the list of its new markets for 2012. The company’s team responsible for the Baltic markets has recently visited Estonia and Lithuania as well.
H&M said in January that it planned to open 275 new stores in Bulgaria, Latvia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Mexico this year. H&M is the third largest clothes retailer worldwide after Spain’s Inditex and American Gap.
The company, established in Sweden back in 1947, has around 2,500 stores in 43 countries and employs a workforce of 94,000.
