“No other butter producers in the Baltic countries have such an advanced line now and just three out of more than 400 dairies in Poland have such equipment,” Jonas Simutis, a consultant for Pieno Žvaigzdės, told the daily.

According to the company’s representatives, the key goal of the company is to increase sales in Lithuania and to boost exports.

“Fermented cheese, granulated cottage cheese, cottage cheese or yoghurts with our brand Svalia are well known in Russia and generate quite solid profits for us. Butter will further consolidate our positions in Russia,” Audrius Statulevičius, Pieno Žvaigždės CFO, told the daily.

Pieno Žvaigždės plans to invest more than 43 million litas this year. It considers investing between 40 and 50 million litas next year.
