“The new route is an excellent piece of news for those who want to see a different Europe. With the addition of Reykjavik, the map of Kaunas airport will grow to 24 destinations,” Jūratė Baltrušaitytė, director of commerce at Kaunas airport, said in a press release.
Flights with a 168-seat Airbus A320-200 on this route will be launched on 11 June.
As reported earlier, Iceland’s air carrier Iceland Express will offer direct seasonal one-weekly flights between Vilnius and Reykjavik between 26 June and 29 August.
WOW Air, which was founded in 2011, now offers flights to 12 European cities.
Air carriers operating from the airport of Kaunas currently offer flights to 24 European airports.
