The train, which left Klaipėda for Almaty, Kazakhstan, late in January, did not run for some time.

The project had been suspended for some time, Darius Beinortas, CEO of VPA Logistics, the train’s operator, told the daily adding that now the company was holding talks with China’s railway operator concerning the city and the terminal the train should depart from.

Until now, the operator has mostly been involved in cargo consolidation in China.

This time the containers will be shipped to Europe through the Lithuanian port of Klaipėda. Last November, the train travelled to Antwerp in Belgium.
