Gintautas Stalnionis, spokesman for Vilnius Regional Court, confirmed this to BNS.
"Klaipėdos Nafta has adjusted its counterclaim. Therefore, the hearing of the case has been adjourned to allow the other party to review it and prepare a rebuttal," Judge Henrichas Jaglinskis told BNS.
Naftos Grupė filed a suit against Klaipėdos Nafta in April 2011 seeking 17.091 million litas in damages it claimed to have incurred after the terminal's operator unilaterally canceled a vacuum gas oil handling contract in September 2010. It also asked the court to order Klaipėdos Nafta to return surplus oil products allegedly owned by the forwarding company.
Klaipėdos Nafta filed a counterclaim against Naftos Grupė, saying that the contract signed with Naftos Grupė in December 2004 had cost the terminal an estimated 42.627 million litas in lost revenue in the period between January 2005 and May 2010.
The state holds a 70.63 percent stake in Klaipėdos Nafta and Achemos Grupė (Achema Group) owns 10 percent of shares. Klaipėdos Nafta is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius stock exchange.
