The neighboring countries are planning to sign an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in this area in Vilnius on Friday, the Lithuanian Transport Ministry has said.
"This agreement is very important for Lithuanian information technology companies which are planning to, or are already working in, the Belarusian market," Transport Minister Eligijus Masiulis said in a press release.
The countries will share their experiences in the field of electronic communications regulation, will cooperate in the areas of e-government and e-signature usage and information society development, will promote investments in information and communication technologies and the establishment of join ventures, will hold joint training courses, will promote research and development activities, and will exchange experts and specialists.
