Lithuanian Government raises EUR 11.6 million in bond auction

The Lithuanian Finance Ministry sold 40 million litas (EUR 11.6 m) worth of five-year government bonds, falling due in 1,680 days, at an average yield of 4.994 percent via an auction on Monday.

The five-year issue was launched on 17 October 2011, and was last reopened on 13 February with 50 million litas worth of securities sold at an average yield of 5.083 percent. Monday's auction brings the total size of the issue to 215 million litas.

On Monday, the lowest yield bid received was 4.94 percent and the highest yield accepted was 5.045 percent.

Bids worth 63.122 million litas in total were placed for the auction, including 56.759 million litas worth of competitive bids.

The issue matures on 20 October 2016.
