The amount paid out to Lithuania by January 1 comprised 52.1 percent of the total amount earmarked for that period, and that rate was the second largest across the EU after Ireland with 52.8 percent.
Estonia remained the fourth with 50.7 percent and Latvia was the fourteenth with 41.9 percent, the ministry told BNS.
As of January 1, the average rate of structural support paid out to all 27 EU Member States made up 45.1 percent of the total amount earmarked.
More than 23 billion litas (EUR 6.67b) in EU funds have been earmarked for Lithuania under the 2007-2013 financial framework.
