Lithuania is less risky than Belgium (19 percent), Italy (34.9 percent), Spain (37.2 percent) and Ireland (38.6 percent).
Estonia's default probability edged up to 7.9 percent in the second quarter, from 7.8 percent in the first quarter. Latvia's default probability rose to 18.1 percent from 15.5 percent, and Poland's, to 14.4 percent from 12.1 percent.
According to the report, the most risky sovereign in the world is Greece with a 96.7-percent probability of default, followed by Cyprus with 71.1 percent and Argentina with 58.6 percent. The least risky sovereigns are Norway with 2.8 percent, the United States with 4.2 percent and Switzerland with 4.6 percent.
The probability of default is estimated based on five-year credit default swap (CDS) values.

Lithuania's default probability rises to 17 percent
The probability of Lithuania defaulting on its debt obligations in the next five years increased to 17 percent in the second half of this year, from 15.5 percent in the first quarter, the credit market data provider CMA said in its sovereign risk report.
