The agency forecasts that per capita advertising spending will rise to 117 litas (EUR 34) this year, up by 10 litas from 107 litas in 2011.

Media House estimates that per capita investment in adverting in Lithuania is higher than in Latvia, whose per capita advertising spending, if calculated in litas, last year rose by 3 percent to 100 litas, but lower than in Estonia, where it jumped by 10 percent to 222 litas.

In the first half of 2012, Lithuania's gross advertising market increased by 3 percent to 869 million litas, Media House said, citing data from the market research firm TNS LT.

Media House is part of the media network MEC.
