Following the cancellation of non-regular flights by the travel agency, Small Planet Airlines announced in the press on Wednesday that a total of 18 flights, scheduled for 27 April to 29 August, were being cancelled.
Tautvydas Kuzma, head of SPA Travel's representative office in Kazakhstan, told BNS that the agency had decided to cancel the flights due to low demand.
"The main reason is economic. There was low demand. That is why we decided to suspend our plans. We will try to resume negotiations on flights. There is considerable potential. Simply, we had too little time to prepare," he said.
Small Planet Airlines currently has a fleet of six Boeing 737-300 aircrafts and two Airbuses A320 planes. The charter carrier is owned by the Lithuanian-based aviation group Avia Solutions Group, which is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
