The deficit last month was 12 percent lower than planned, the fund said citing early estimations.
The revenues totaled 729.2 million litas in January and exceeded the planned amount by 6.7 percent, and were 7.2 percent larger than in January 2011.
The expenditures of the fund made up 1.076 billion litas and were 0.1 percent lower than planned but 3.1 percent larger than in January last year.
“Sodra’s revenues in January 2012 were the largest for this period in last three years,” the fund said in a press release.
The fund’s deficit is projected to reach 2.311 billion litas this year with the revenues and expenditures set at 11.29 billion litas and 13.602 billion litas, respectively.
