Lithuanian and Belarusian railways operators discuss ways to improve rail service between Vilnius and Minsk

The heads of Lithuanian and Belarusian railway companies are discussing ways to improve rail service between Vilnius and Minsk.

Vladimir Morozov, the head of Belarus’ railway operator, and Stasys Dailydka, CEO of Lietuvos Geležinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways), met in Vilnius on Wednesday to discuss issues related with the conveyance of passengers and cargo, rail car maintenance and repairs, and other issues, the Lithuanian railway company said in a press release.

The delegation representing Belarus’ railway company will take part in a conference, which Lietuvos Geležinkeliai will hold on Thursday to mark the 10th anniversary of the shuttle container train service Viking.
