In summer, the company signed a deal with Estonia’s top mobile operator EMT on the provision of warranty repair services to its subscribers.

“We offered to the Estonian operator to buy warranty maintenance covering all three main mobile phone manufacturers from the same provider. It is more convenient for the operator, which is able to avoid wasting time and the need to negotiate the repairs of phones of each particular manufacturer separately with different repair service providers,” Gintaras Kruckas, CEO of Lithuania’s phone repair services provider Mobiliųjų Telefonų Techninis Centras (Mobile Phone Technical Center, or MTTC), told the daily. MTTC Eesti is a subsidiary of MTTC.

MTC Eesti last year generated the turnover of 904,000 litas (EUR 262,029) and expects to double it this year, to 1.5 million litas.

“The company made a huge qualitative advance in one year,” Kruckas said.

MTTC acquired Mobitec Service, Estonia’s second largest mobile phone repairer, in March 2011. In Lithuania, a customer receives a list of service centers which he or she could address whenever necessary. In Estonia, it is the operators who collect broken phones from their customers and then decide which service center to choose for their repairs.
