Lithuanian furniture manufacterer drops plans to enter Azerbaijan in favor of Scandinavia

Lithuania's furniture manufacturer Grafų Baldai has dropped plans to supply its products to Azerbaijan's market after failing to find reliable partners there and has instead strengthened its positions in Scandinavia and developed a new furniture collection for Lithuanian buyers, the business daily Verslo Žinios reports.

Since Grafų Baldai has put in considerable work in Scandinavia, cooperation inquiries most often come from potential partners in these countries.

This year, the company expects to post revenues of 11 million litas (EUR 3.2m) and has earmarked 2 million litas for investments in new storage facilities to keep up with increasing demand for its products.

The furniture manufacturer currently exports about 75 percent of its products.
