Lithuanian-Latvian consortium set to reconstruct Vilnius' Geležinio Vilko street in Vilnius

A consortium of Lithuania’s Kauno Keliai and Latvijas Tilti, Latvia’s leading road and bridge building company, was chosen to reconstruct Geležinio Vilko street in Vilnius.

The consortium, which placed the lowest bid of 31.229 million litas (EUR 9.05 m, inlcuding VAT), won a tender announced by the local authority of Vilnius, Erikas Berontas, the head of public procurement division of the local authority, told BNS adding that the contract with the winning bidder would be signed after the check of tender procedures by the public procurement service (VPT).

Bids to reconstruct the heavy-traffic road were also placed by Panevėžio Keliai (LTL 35.25 m), Lithuania’s leading road building company, and Kauno Tiltai (LTL 39.9 m), the largest road and bridge building company in the Baltic countries.
