Twenty-one percent of people used mobile Internet at least once in a month, up from 16 percent in the first quarter.
"The percentage of Lithuanians who accessed Internet via a mobile device at least once a month or more rose by 5 percentage points over 2012, to 21.4 percent at the end of the year, from 15.9 percent in the first quarter," Ieva Žilionienė, deputy director of the Information Society Development Committee, said in a press release.
Mobile Internet usage was particularly high among young people, at 58 percent in late 2012 among those aged 15 to 19 years and 45 percent in the 20-29 age group.
According to the survey, 73.4 percent of people used computers and 71.5 percent used Internet in the fourth quarter of last year, up by 2.5 points each compared with the same period in 2011.
