Lithuanians see unemployment as country's biggest problem

Lithuania's residents believe that politicians should first of all work to solve the problem of unemployment, shows a poll published on delfi.lt news portal on Tuesday.

Asked to specify "the issues that should firstly be addressed by politicians," 33.6 percent of respondents chose the answer "unemployment and creation of new jobs."

According to the poll carried out by Spinter Tyrimai (Spinter Surveys) pollster, another 22.4 percent referred an increase in wages.

The third most common answer was the need to promote economy, which was listed among one of the key issues by 12.5 percent of respondents.

The survey of 1,006 residents aged between 18 and 75 was carried out on 13-20 March.
