Constructions that have been planned by Kančo Studija architects Gustė Kančaitė and Kęstutis Kajokas have already begun on the block. More than 11.2 thousand square metres will be occupied by residential spaces, while over 1.6 thousand square metres will be allocated to commercial premises which will be created on the ground floors. An underground car parking lot will have space for around 380 vehicles.
It is planned that construction of the almost 28.5 thousand square metres residential purpose complex will be completed in summer 2022.
“All planned projects in Paupys are proceeding quickly. We have already completed three residential blocks, two will be completed this year, the commercial and public block already has offices, and cafes and other services are settling in. We are now starting construction on the final blocks,” Darnu Group head of real estate development Povilas Urbonavičius says.
“It is a pleasure that one of the main Lithuanian real estate development companies has trusted us with the final block of the Paupys neighbourhood, a block that is among the more technically complex of the construction stages in this reviving area of the capital. As such, we will strive to uphold the expectations of Darnu Group by completing this, in my eyes, one of the most impressive real estate development projects in Lithuania,” construction company Naresta CEO Arūnas Šlenys says.
Based in a seven-hectare territory in Vilnius Old Town, Paupys is one of Lithuania’s largest conversion projects and it has been included in the Vilnius city municipality’s strategic plan Architektūros Parkas [Architecture Park]. In total, over 150 million euros have been invested in the Paupys conversion project by Darnu Group.
